Pittsburgh’s largest Vegan Festival is coming up, will you be attending?
Amy “Amethyst” Cottrill, from Pittsburgh Belly Dance has been a vegan since childhood. She has been organizing vegan events for many years, educating and providing vegan products to consumers. She started off with a small event called Vegan Bazaar and then last year she decided to go big. Thinking only around 150 people would show up, when over 500 people showed up.
With demand the event is held twice a year, the fall and the spring. With the great turn out, the event is now held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills, with two floors and outdoor space. Also, the event has also been extended from four hours to now eight hours!
The event is more than just food (which we all love). With the small admission rate of $5.00 (cash only), you will be able to speak to vendors, have cultural entertainment, different demos, activities for all ages, wellness activities, raffles and much much more. The event also supports local businesses, something that Pittsburgh is getting back into.
So mark your calendar for May 30th from 12- 8pm @ the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills. Invite your friends, mother, brother, sister, anyone!! Don’t forget check out the Facebook Event page @ Facebook.com/events/1545237529071428/
