According to Al Gore and just about every climate scientist not on the GOP’s payroll, man-made pollution has caused temperatures to rise all over the globe. That theory, however, may run into a challenge if J. Cole‘s weather forecast proves true—according to the North Carolina hitmaker, we’re in for a Cole Summer. Though the artist insists on the intro that this unreleased outtake is not an indication of what we can expect from his forthcoming sophomore full-length, I certainly wouldn’t be mad if it were. Featuring a smooth beat sampled from Lauryn Hill‘s D’Angelo-assisted Nothing Even Matters and wistful, occasionally boastful bars from the Roc Nation signee, this record couldn’t be better suited to the breezy days ahead. In any case, those feeling it will want to stay tuned for more leading up to the June 25, arrival of Born Sinner, featuring Booth-approved single Power Trip.
